Why Am I Still Single?

why am I still single tired of being single

Have you ever asked, “why am I still single?”

Singleness isn’t a bad thing. I’ll say that one more time just incase you missed it… SINGLENESS ISN’T A BAD THING! Yet, when single a person deals with an array of emotions. At times a person can feel content and confident in their singleness, but other times doubt and insecurities can creep in, and questions like why am I still single?

The frustration of singleness can become more prevalent, when you know you are a good catch. I’m not talking about perfection, but it’s when you know you truly have something good to offer. You are responsible, you have a good job, you love God, you serve in ministry, you carry yourself in a respectful way, but you’re still single.

Many times the longer a person is single the more frustration and doubt can overwhelm them. Regardless if it’s rational or not.

In this podcast episode we explore the different reason a person might be single. We want to remind everyone that singleness is not a disease; it’s not a bad thing, but we also want to be truthful and share some negative reasons one might still be single. If you find this podcast to be a blessing, please leave a review, and share it with a friend.

Key scriptures:

  • Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,  But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised (Prov. 31:30).
  • Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight (1 Peter 3:3-4).
  • Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next (1 Timothy 4:8).
